Key application guidelines for Kleiberit C 114/5 adhesive
Surface preparation
Surfaces to be bonded must be degreased, clean, and dry. Metal parts must also be sanded to improve adhesion.
Important! Materials must be acclimatized before work begins. Recommended bonding temperature is +18ºC (minimum from +15ºC). Apply to wood with a moisture content of 8-12%.
Applying adhesive to both surfaces
Apply the adhesive evenly to both surfaces to ensure optimal bonding. Drying time is at least 10-15 minutes (until a film forms). Do not apply adhesive after the skin has formed.
Pressing for optimal bonding
Before pressing, ensure all parts are positioned accurately, as repositioning is impossible once pressure is applied.
Pressing pressure for flexible materials is at least 0.3 N/mm2, and for more rigid materials, from 0.5 N/mm2.
Storage recommendations
Storage temperature range for Kleiberit contact adhesive: from -5°C to +30°C. The product must be kept in a tightly closed container. Under proper storage conditions, the adhesive retains its performance properties for 12 months.
