Kuper Type 1220 veneer splicing thread is used in facilities processing natural and engineered fine-line veneers. It is used to assemble veneer layons of various complexity for manufacturing interior doors, cabinet furniture, wall and ceiling panels, wall art, and other decorative items.
Key features of Kuper 1220 thermal thread:
- High-quality bonding. The heated splicing thread penetrates the wood grain structure, firmly joining the veneer edges. The thread maintains its properties through temperature and humidity fluctuations;

Type 1220 glue thread is designed for Kuper FWM 630 and FWS 920/1250 veneer splicing machines. Electrically heated machines warm the thread above 168°C. The softened thread is applied in a zigzag pattern across the seam of two veneer sheets. Once the joint is pressed, it is set with a cold roller. The assembled layon is ready for pressing onto MDF, chipboard, or plywood.
