For facing materials, the grade indicates aesthetic characteristics rather than technical quality. Since lamella is used as a face layer, its classification is based on visual parameters: the presence of knots, sapwood, medullary rays, and colour uniformity.
All grades in our range undergo the same kiln-drying cycle to a moisture content (MC) of 8–10% and precision thickness sanding. The choice of grade depends solely on the intended style of the finished product.

Parquet Board
Hardwood sawn veneer is used as the wear layer of flooring. The Red oak wear layer withstands the operational loads of residential spaces and, with proper treatment and maintenance, provides long-lasting service. Engineered and parquet boards are aesthetic, practical, and wear-resistant materials that suit dozens of interior styles.
Staircase Elements and Treads
Sawn veneer from hard and dense species is used to face the treads and landings of internal staircases. Lamellas withstand significant loads, maintain their structural geometry, and are suitable for future restoration.
Worktops

Sawn Lamella Production Technology
- Raw material selection. The production process begins with the rigorous selection of premium and prime-grade boards. This stage defines the quality of the future product, as timber characteristics directly affect the aesthetics and performance of the lamella.
- Kiln drying. Selected raw materials undergo drying in specialised kilns. This technology allows for the achievement of an optimal joinery moisture content (MC) level (8–10%), which is essential for material stability. Correct drying reduces internal stresses and prevents deformation or cracking.
- Calibration. Before sawing, the boards are calibrated to dimensions that match the parameters of the saw frame. This approach ensures high precision in subsequent processing and optimal material yield.
- Sawing. Prepared blanks are fed into a Wintersteiger machine. After setting the thickness and other parameters, the timber is resawn into sheets. The use of high-precision equipment guarantees consistent saw-cut quality.
- Quality control (QC) and grading. The finished sawn veneer is inspected for compliance with dimensions, thickness, and grade. After grading, the lamellas are grouped into bundles, which are then packed onto pallets for transport.
Red Oak Timber: Characteristics
Red oak (Quercus rubra) is a popular hardwood species in joinery and furniture manufacturing. Its native range covers the eastern and central regions of North America, from southeastern Canada to the Gulf Coast. Due to its resilience and rapid growth rate, the tree has been successfully introduced into European forestry, including Ukraine.
Heartwood color ranges from warm wheat-amber to a pronounced pinkish-red hue, which develops a deeper amber tone over time. The sapwood is narrow, with a light cream to whitish appearance. The grain is straight with a coarse texture and conspicuous, open pores. Plain sawn (tangential) cuts display a characteristic cathedral (parabolic) figure, while quarter sawn (radial) surfaces reveal short, distinct medullary rays.
In Prime / Select (Extra or A) grade sawn timber, knots are virtually absent and the texture is uniform. Rustic (Character) grades feature sound intergrown knots of various sizes, hairline surface checks, and natural color variations, highlighting the timber’s authentic character.
Red oak is a heavy, strong hardwood with high density (approximately 700–750 kg/m³). Solid timber machines cleanly, taking sawing, planing, and CNC routing exceptionally well. Unlike white oak, red oak pores are open and lack tyloses. As a result, the timber allows liquids and gases to pass along the grain, making it unsuitable for tight cooperage, but allowing it to absorb stains, dyes, and finishing oils exceptionally well. Solid red oak bonds reliably with wood adhesives and holds fasteners and fixings securely.
