Lightweight Ceiba plywood veneered with White Ash: features
Ceiba plywood is a structural board material manufactured from rotary-cut ceiba veneer sheets and specialized adhesives. Ceiba is a lightweight hardwood tree species common in the tropics of Africa, Asia, and America. To create a strong, rigid panel, veneer sheets are laid in a precise order, with grain directions in adjacent layers oriented perpendicularly.
Raw ceiba plywood sheets without decorative surfacing are not used for finished interior furnishings. To provide an appealing look, the surface is veneered with White Ash. Plywood overlaid with natural wood veneer is noticeably lighter and more cost-effective than solid wood.
Specifications of White Ash veneered ceiba plywood
- Light weight. Ceiba plywood is significantly lighter than panels made from other wood species. You can clearly see this by reviewing the density comparison table of wood species commonly used in plywood manufacturing.

- Wear resistance. White ash veneered lightweight plywood easily withstands everyday mechanical stress. Products made from veneered plywood sheets last for decades.
- Eco-safety. White ash veneered plywood is available with an E1 emission class. This rating confirms the material is safe for human and animal health. Lightweight plywood products can be used for living rooms, home offices, bedrooms, nurseries, offices, and hotel rooms.
- Aesthetics. Natural white ash veneer captures the authentic texture and color palette of solid wood. The unique grain pattern serves as a decorative accent in itself. To highlight the growth ring pattern and match the interior, the veneered plywood surface can be stained, tinted, or varnished.
Applications of white ash veneered lightweight ceiba plywood
Cabinet furniture
White ash veneered ceiba plywood is ideal for crafting lightweight yet large-scale structures. This sheet material is used to produce wardrobes, tall storage units, nightstands, dressers, and wall cabinets. Plywood panels make it easy to create durable furnishings of various sizes.
Architectural elements
Lightweight ceiba plywood is suitable for interior partitions used in space zoning. Veneered panels are used to make mobile dividers and screens for public spaces: lobbies, open-plan offices, conference and waiting rooms, libraries, and play areas. Lightweight ceiba plywood is also crafted into arches, staircase elements, and cornices.
Wall panels
This lightweight and aesthetic material is often chosen for wall and ceiling paneling in residential and commercial spaces. Wall panels made of white ash veneered plywood help enhance acoustic and thermal insulation. The natural wood veneered surface can be tinted, waxed, oiled, or varnished.
