Poplar FK plywood: what is it?
Poplar FK plywood is a multi-layer sheet material made of peeled poplar veneer. The wood sheets are cross-laminated so that the grain directions of adjacent layers run perpendicular to each other and bonded with a urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive. The designation “FK” indicates the glue type that provides the board with moisture-resistant properties.
Important:
poplar plywood is not intended for direct long-term contact with water. It is moisture-resistant, not fully waterproof. The material is used in conditions with possible fluctuations in humidity or brief exposure to moisture.
