The tree grows up to 30-40 m in height, with trunk diameters reaching up to 1-1.18 m. The color palette of this precious wood ranges from pale pink to light brown tones. The solid wood naturally darkens over time.
The grain of okoume wood is typically straight, though logs with slightly interlocked grain also occur. The cut surface is smooth with a natural luster.
