Key features of high moisture-resistant plywood
FSF plywood is a layered engineered wood panel composed of multiple plies of peeled birch veneer. For maximum strength and rigidity, the plies are arranged in a cross-grain structure, where the grain of adjacent veneer sheets runs perpendicularly.
Water-resistant FSF plywood is engineered for demanding conditions. The “FSF” designation indicates plywood bonded with phenol-formaldehyde resin adhesive. This adhesive provides superior water resistance, allowing the panels to be used for both interior and exterior applications.
FSF Plywood: Main Advantages
Water-resistant birch plywood stands out for several notable qualities:
- Wear resistance. This multi-ply panel is widely used in exterior projects, including covered patios, terraces, and gazebos. It offers high bending strength and easily handles heavy mechanical loads.
