MDF cornice: what is it?
An MDF furniture cornice is a profile made of medium-density fibreboard. After cutting the sheet, the blanks are sent for milling. The surface of the workpiece is machined at a specific angle, and grooves are milled along the side edges for easy mounting. The product classification code depends on the groove type.
The profile is faced with fleece-backed ash, oak, or alder veneer. Veneering gives the element a finished, refined look. Thanks to the natural veneer finish, this decorative moulding easily integrates into any modern or traditional interior design project.
Features of MDF cornices
- Easy installation. Wood-based mouldings are simple to install. The profiles can be fixed using standard carpentry tools.
