Methods of natural veneer face (layon) matching
Veneer layon matching: book (mirror) match. The layon is assembled from a single veneer bundle. To achieve a book-matched pattern, every second veneer leaf is flipped 180° reverse side up. Veneer layon matching: slip match. The layon is assembled from a single veneer bundle. Each consecutive leaf is laid without flipping. With slip matching, differences in tone and grain structure are minimal or absent. Veneer layon matching: slip match with turnover. The layon is assembled from a single veneer bundle. The pattern is created by flipping every second leaf lengthwise by 180° reverse side up. Veneer layon matching: reverse match. The layon is assembled from a single veneer bundle. The pattern is achieved by rotating every second leaf 180° face side up. Reverse matching ensures a uniform pattern and tone across the panel. Veneer layon matching: mixed / random match. The layon is assembled from several veneer bundles. Leaves are selected randomly: from the same or different flitches, with or without preserving tone. The pattern is formed according to the customer’s wishes. Veneer layon matching: mismatched. The layon is assembled from veneer bundles of the same log, combining leaves with identical coloration but different grain textures. Cutting layout and sizing of oak veneered MDF boards
A well-prepared cutting layout allows you to manufacture parts of the required dimensions and calculate the exact amount of material needed. A cutting diagram helps prevent errors when sawing veneered boards and speeds up the production process. Technical documentation takes into account the specifics of cutting veneered MDF. Before cutting, the board is trimmed along its perimeter by about 1 cm to eliminate potential manufacturing irregularities and square up the edges. In addition, the saw kerf consumes about 3 mm, and parts intended for edge banding must be reduced by 2 mm on each edge.

Industrial edge banding of components protects the edges and gives the finished product a complete look. We offer both pre-glued and unglued edge banding. In stock: widths of 22 mm and 44 mm, and a thickness of 0.5 mm. Custom manufacturing of edge banding in non-standard widths (from 60 mm to 270 mm) and thicknesses (1 mm, 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm) is also available.
