  • Natural decking is typically made from softwood species. The wood contains resins that act as a moisture barrier. However, full protection against moisture and temperature changes requires special treatment with antiseptics.
  • Thermowood is resistant to high humidity due to kiln drying and steam treatment. Under high temperatures, the boards become denser and more wear-resistant.
  • Impregnated timber is produced by ‘soaking’ blanks in a special antiseptic solution. The agent penetrates the wood structure, making the impregnated outdoor decking resistant to the whims of nature.
  • Composite decking, made from wood flour, polymers, and other components, is strong, stable, and resistant to moisture, significant mechanical loads, UV light, and temperature fluctuations.
  1. Decking Planks (Smooth): Garden paths, pool surrounds, and various platforms are often made from decking planks. Boards with a smooth surface feature bevelled edges. Ends treated in this way allow for the compensation of board shrinkage.

Grade 2 A wide range of natural features is permitted: various types of knots, micro-cracks, and significant colour variations (dark streaks, spots). The texture is variegated and expressive. The lowest cost whilst maintaining high physical-mechanical properties (hardness and viscosity). Allows for the creation of reliable structures whilst significantly saving the budget.

Hornbeam Solid Wood: Key Characteristics

Hornbeam (Carpinus) is common throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. Scientists have identified 41 varieties of this deciduous tree. Two types grow in Ukraine: the Oriental Hornbeam and the Common Hornbeam. Whilst the Common Hornbeam grows to 25–30 metres, the Oriental variety reaches 5–8 metres.

The characteristics of the solid wood are as follows: Hornbeam belongs to the hardwood category. Brinell hardness is 3.5–3.7, and density is 740–795 kg/m³.
