Composition and production stages of particle board

Particle board is made from wood material, binding resins and additional components. Producing the sheets involves several stages:

Selecting the raw material. The chips are of set sizes: fine chips are needed for the outer layer, and wider, thicker and longer chips for the core.
Combining the components. All the components are mixed in dedicated machinery. The resulting mixture goes into the moulds.
Hot pressing. Blanks are formed from the plastic mass by hot pressing.
Cooling and drying. The sheets cure under temperature, but the pressed sheet still needs time to cool and set completely.
Applying the facing. Once the board is ready, its surface is veneered with ash using professional tools.
